Job Description
Job Summary
Responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all of the functions within the laboratory phlebotomy section including training, staffing, maintaining supplies, and communicating with the laboratory administration. Performs venipunctures, heel sticks, and finger sticks to obtain blood samples for testing purposes as required. Evaluates employees using laboratory and hospital guidelines and policies to perform competency assessment. Encourages professional growth and development of staff. Coordinates on site training of Phlebotomy students and new hires. Performs other related functions as assigned by the Laboratory Supervisor or Director.

Other Structured training course preferred 0-1 years hospital phlebotomy experience required 1-3 years hospital phlebotomy experience preferredLicenses and Certifications
CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification Phlebotomy certification preferred AHA or ARC BLS required within 30 days of hire required
