Phlebotomist - Multi-Specialty Clinic **Grand River Medical Group** 1 Positions ID: 1335427 Posted On 10/21/2024 **Job Overview** **Phlebotomist** Position is for the Multi-Specialty Clinic location Grand River Medical Group is seeking an experienced and dependable Phlebotomist. You will be performing venipunctures and obtaining urine specimens from patients. Duties will also include verifying patient information, patient lab orders and specimen labeling. The ideal candidate would possess strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment. You will provide an exceptional patient experience while exemplifying empathy and respect to patients and co-workers. You will be a team player and work closely with the receptionists, phlebotomists, clinicians, and all other members of the care team. **This is a full-time position, 36-40 hours per week. This position is typically 4 days per week, with no evening or weekend requirements.** Grand River Medical Group's Multi-Specialty Clinic lab is typically open from 6:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. **Duties include but are not limited to:** + Perform venipunctures and obtain urine specimens; requires use of close vision. Monitor the identification, processing, transportation of specimens to ensure specimen integrity. + Perform therapeutic phlebotomies. Instruct patients in collection of 24-hour urine specimen. + Verify patient information (name, date of birth, address) and insurance information from the practice management system. + Review lab orders, encounters and documents in the electronic medical record. + Assist patient before, during and after specimen collection. + Answer the telephone, take messages and provide routine laboratory information. **Education/Experience/Skills:** + High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. + Minimum one-year related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. **We offer:** A competitive hourly wage plus a very attractive benefits package including vacation, generous company provided benefits, and much more.
