**Requirements:**
**Education:**
+ **High school diploma**
**Six months Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred.**
**If interested in 1st shift, must be able to work as early as 4 am.**
**Most of our positions are four hour shifts so must be willing to** **work four hour** **shifts M-F and every third weekend.**
**Availability to train 1st shift M-F, full time hours for 2 weeks**
**Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required**
**50% of the work is done on a computer- orders, registration, data entry, etc.**
**Ability to type 40 words per minute.**
**ASCP certification for Phlebotomy (must obtain certification within one year of hire) preferred.**
**Phlebotomist/Registration:** Working in a single assigned work area, provides specimen collection, registration and processing services to patients in the main hospital, outpatient lab draw stations, and mental health and skilled nursing facilities at off-site locations and clinics. High volume work, 50% of duties involve computer utilization with targets to meet. Provides clerical support to the Pathology Department and other duties as assigned.
**Main Hospital Inpatient Phlebotomist**
At the main hospital servicing inpatients, processing and registration of samples received from physician offices for testing.
