We are seeking a skilled and experienced Phlebotomist to join our team in Prescott Valley, AZ. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging specimens, and updating patient information. This role requires a high degree of professionalism and attention to detail, as you will be responsible for collecting and storing specimens according to established procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
ResponsibilitiesPerform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, record maintenance data, and decontaminate equipment.Update patient information accurately and efficiently.Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.Demonstrate proper technique using straight needles and butterfly needles.Understand and follow all physicians' orders accurately.Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage according to required temperatures and protocols.Essential SkillsPrior work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.High School Diploma or GED.Work Environment
The work environment is a fast-paced outpatient clinic setting.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $24.59/hr.
