Phlebotomist - Afternoons/ 24 hours weekly

Part Time – 1130am-8pm – Rotating Weekends & Call

Job Description:

Performs the collection of blood and body specimens from hospital inpatients and outpatients. Transports patient specimens to the laboratory.

Job Duties:

Performs venipuncture and capillary collectionsCollects appropriate specimen for each testFollows all patient safety and specimen collection protocols without variancePromotes good public relations for department and Baptist Health PaducahFollows infection control protocolsConsistently follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Completion of High School/GEDMust obtain BLS within 3 months of hire.

Preferred Requirements:

Completion of Phlebotomy training program or ASCP Certification
