This role will supervise multiple Emory affiliate phlebotomy locations.
Operationally and actively manages assigned areas including active participation in discussions and decision making for departmental process improvement projects.May initiate, facilitate or otherwise participate in quality improvement projects including gathering data and preparing reports or posters.Builds relationships within the Lab organization and throughout EHC by scheduling regular meetings with influencers and clients, participating in meetings and taskforces and otherwise engaging as required.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical lab science or a chemical, physical or biological science. Other bachelor's degree will be accepted if graduated from an accredited school of medical technology or if science and math coursework meet requirement of certifying agency.Five years of medical technology or healthcare experience of which four years in a supervisory capacity is preferred.For Medical Technologists, certification by one of the following accreditation agencies: MT (ASCP), HTL (ASCP), CT(ASCP) (ASCP), MT(HEW), MT(HHS), MT(AMT), MT(NCA), CHT or CHS(ABHI), MT (AAB), generalist or categorical if applicable.
For Laboratory Support Services functions, the following qualifications are acceptable:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field, including business (health administration, project management or IT preferred), clinical lab science or a chemical, physical or biological science.RN licensure acceptable for non-testing departments.Three (3) years healthcare experience required.
