As an Emory Photo/Video Intern in Emory University’s Department of Communications and Marketing for Summer 2025, you’ll become part of a select intern cohort that will be immersed in the higher education communications experience. Reporting to the Director of Digital Media, you will be involved in all facets of visual communications, from photography and videography to photo/video archiving. This unique internship experience isn't just about supporting day-to-day tasks; it's about immersing yourself in a collaborative environment, actively participating in campaigns with real-world implications and seizing professional development opportunities designed to empower your career ambitions.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Gain comprehensive insight into the production process, covering every phase from project intake and brainstorming ideas to planning, filming, editing, and delivering the final product.Operate professional camera equipment and help capture high-quality video content.Assist in the technical setup for shoots, including arranging lights, cameras, and audio equipment.Collaborate closely with the EPV team in the studio, contributing to the team's creative projects and learning from seasoned professionals.Improve access and preservation of our visual assets by managing photography archives.Contribute to Emory’s campus by helping organize memorable university events.Dive into a wealth of professional development opportunities, broadening your horizons and building your network.Collaborate on a campaign project from conception to execution.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Available for 20 hours each week during the summer 2025 semester.Pursuing or recently completed a degree (B.S., B.A., M.A., or M.S.) with a GPA of 3.0 or above.Demonstrated excellence in writing and presenting.Strong relationship-building and client service skills.A detail-oriented and organized approach to tasks.Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.A positive and professional attitude.Some knowledge of production and camera operation.Experience with project management software and the Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs.  Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
