Preamble:

a PV & Clerk Engineer to work as Owner Engineer [OE] team member working on large-scale Renewable Energy projects in collaboration with major developers, including ACWA Power, Total Energies, Masdar, Veolia, Enova, etc. This role will focus on the Design, Engineering, Compliance, & Document Control/Management of PV, Wind and Battery Energy Storage Systems [BESS]. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise, quality assurance experience, and extensive document management skills.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

Understanding and summarizing the technical project requirements. Oversee the design, engineering, and compliance of PV systems, ensuring adherence to OE specifications and international standards. Review and validate MV & LV electrical system designs, including cable sizing, switchgear selection, and grid interconnection. Lead document control activities, ensuring efficient tracking, updating, and archiving engineering documentation, technical reviews, and project submittals. Planning: Collaborate with EPC contractors, utilities, and OE teams to ensure/verify project milestones are met. Support the Owner Engineer by providing technical assessments, feasibility studies, and detailed reports. Conduct quality audits and ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, and local regulations, and other relevant International Codes. Assist in BESS integration, control system reviews, and compliance verification. Participate in site inspections, Factory Acceptance Tests [FATs], and commissioning activities. Engage in Frequent project review meetings, technical workshops, representing the company in discussions with developers and stakeholders. Provide input on risk management, HSE, and operational challenges associated with PV deployment.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent. Seven [07] Years Plus of technical experience in mega scale PV Solar projects. Proficient in PVsyst, AutoCAD, Sketchup, & MS Office. Highly Knowledgeable in International Codes, mainly: IEC/IEEE standards and Grid codes. Proficient in English; written and spoken. Gate-Pass Eligibility within Entire GCC Countries. PLUS, Merits: Owner Engineer earlier experience. Project management / CEM / certificates. Utility and/or MV and/or BESS experience. Experience in DMS Software. Experience in Primavera and MS Project. Scientific Patent. Arabic Language Proficiency. Middle Eastern Culture Awareness. Experience with International Developers of Acwa, Masdar, Jinko, Marubeni, Violia, Enova.
