Photonics Test Technician

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct hands-on silicon photonic IC components, subsystem testing and characterization. Perform chip level optical alignment and corresponding optical/electrical testing.  Support wafer-level testing.  Operate and maintain optical and electrical test setup and equipment.  Handle, manage and inspect fine materials with precision and care. Assist in material handling and picking for various projects. Collaborate with team members to ensure project goals are met efficiently. Communicate effectively with team members. Identify and solve problems that arise during the testing and characterization process. Maintain accurate records of test results and material usage.

Education & Experience

 

High school and above. Associate or bachelor's degree preferred Industry background with 1yr+ working experiences, lab experiences preferred

Skills

Hands-on experience with fiber, optical and electrical test equipment. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in material management and handling fine materials. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not required. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
