Position Overview We are looking for an experienced PHP Developer to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of web applications and systems. The ideal candidate will have strong PHP skills, familiarity with Joomla MVC, and a good understanding of front-end development. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and effective collaboration. Key Responsibilities + Develop and maintain applications using PHP 5 and PHP 8, with an active focus on migrating from older versions. + Work with the Joomla MVC Framework, independent of the CMS, to design and implement solutions. + Develop and style front-end components using HTML5, CSS3, and frameworks like jQueryUI or similar. + Build and enhance front-end functionality with JavaScript, leveraging libraries and frameworks such as MooTools, jQuery, and others. + Integrate and call HTTP APIs using PHP. + Debug and troubleshoot PHP applications, identifying and resolving performance and functionality issues. + Assist with basic Laravel development and troubleshooting tasks. + Perform MySQL CRUD operations and write efficient manual SQL statements. + Use Joomla’s JTable for MySQL data access. + Utilize Docker for basic containerization and development. + Manage version control workflows using Git, including branching and merging. Required Skills and Qualifications + Proficient in PHP 5 and PHP 8, with hands-on experience in development and migrations. + Strong understanding of the Joomla MVC Framework and its applications beyond CMS. + Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and front-end design using frameworks like jQueryUI. + Proficiency in JavaScript, with experience in frameworks like MooTools, jQuery, or similar. + Experience with HTTP API integration in PHP. + Familiarity with Laravel, with a basic understanding of its troubleshooting and development. + Strong knowledge of MySQL, including CRUD operations, manual SQL writing, and use of Joomla’s JTable. + Basic knowledge of Docker for containerized application development. + Experience with Git, including branching and merging workflows. + Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
