Duties could include interventional spine injections, toxin spasticity management, electrodiagnostic testing, musculoskeletal ultrasound, care of the MSK patient This position is ideal for physiatrists with an academic or teaching background. On call requirement is around 1:10 weeks for weekend coverage. Our Rehabilitation Hospital is opened in 2009, our state-of-the-art facility features: 174,000-square-foot, three-story building and includes a 61-bed Acute Rehabilitation Center, including an 11-bed secured Brain Injury Unit; a 50-bed Subacute rehabilitation unit; Aquatic therapy pool: outdoor therapy garden with putting green; On-site pharmacy, and radiological services. Our onsite outpatient PM&R office has an AANEM certified EMG lab doing over 2000 EMGs per year. Also onsite is one of our seven outpatient therapy clinics, with PT, OT and Speech. We offer highly specialized in and outpatient programs including amputee, brain injury, neuromuscular, orthopedic, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s and stroke rehabilitation. Reading Hospital Rehabilitation at Wyomissing is the only hospital in the region accredited by both the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) and The Joint Commission. Our Stroke Specialty, Brain Injury, Spinal Cord injury and Amputee Programs are also CARF-accredited.
