The role we are offering you:
We are seeking a highly motivated Physical Security Coordinator to join our dynamic security team based in our Montreal office.The ideal candidate will support and administer organizational security plans and operations in addition to executing procedures and processes to provide physical protection for personnel and company property, day-to-day damage, vandalism, loss prevention and other related security risk programs and meets required codes and regulations.
Job Description
Plan, manage, and execute physical security projects from initial concept to final completion.
Maintain subject matter expertise in physical security technology and trends.
Document processes and procedures (Technical and non-technical security related).
Configure, install, and troubleshoot hardware and software related settings in Maxxess (Software installation, network, access panels, readers).
Configure, install, and troubleshoot hardware and software related settings in Avigilon CCTV systems (Video analytics, network video management).
Configure and manage Visitor Management Software (Control Perfect).
Conduct comprehensive site security assessments to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities.
Enforce physical security policies, standards, and procedures.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and local authorities to ensure compliance with global security protocols.
Manage the delivery and roll-out of several installation projects simultaneously.
Participate in the design, development, implementation, and management of security systems.
Ensures all security equipment and systems are operating in accordance with operating procedures.
Oversee portable communication equipment (walkie talkies).
Oversee fleet vehicles for Security group. (maintenance schedules, repairs)
Participate in providing Security coverage during Special Events, Press conferences, Board meetings, VIP visits, etc. able to intervene when required if a threat is identified.
Provide Security driving to VIP’s when required.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
You have three (3) years of experience in a physical security working environment.
You have ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP) or other industry-related certification is an asset.
You have thorough knowledge of security-related systems and technology.
You are recognized for your solid organizational and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently manage priorities.
You are recognized for your clear and concise oral and written communications skills.
You are bilingual in English and French, spoken and written.
You must be discreet and ensure confidentiality.
You possess a strong sense of initiative and the ability to work independently.
You are flexible regarding your availability and available to travel to CAE’s global footprint.
Physical fitness improves stamina, strength, and mobility, enabling them to remain alert and vigilant through extra hours shifts which is essential for maintaining security and spotting potential threats early.
You may have to give chase or attempt to detain the person. When it comes to physical strength, expect to have to lift 15-pound loads on a regular basis.
You may need to lift up to 45 pounds from time to time.
