The primary purpose of this position is to evaluate risk and provide the program to secure the perimeter of all facilities, to prevent harm to our people and property while operating a system that gathers surveillance information to be used internally or by law enforcement following incidents. This position works closely with law enforcement, Homeland Security, and private resources to provide protection and preservation of the Department’s physical assets from theft, burglary, vandalism, or terrorism. This position works collaboratively with the Office of the Inspector General, Information Technology (IT) cyber security, and DMV License and Theft officers by providing information recorded in the access control system and/or in the CCTV digital video recorders.

+ Skill in developing security policies, procedures, and protocols
+ Demonstrated ability to serve as lead investigator in investigations or assist with outside investigations of crimes (burglary, theft, etc.), workplace harassment, misuse of state property, trespassing, etc.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of experience in personnel, budgeting, research or administrative management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
