We must continuously evaluate how we secure our offices, process threat intelligence, and implement the necessary programs and systems that will help us maintain a strong security posture at scale. We are looking for an experienced physical security manager/engineer in Sydney, who can work with others across the organization, react to alerts, manage accesses, respond to incidents, and support the growth of our APJ physical security programs. In this position, you’ll have the opportunity to lead security projects, conduct incident response, manage daily physical security operational requirements, and support security initiatives across the globe.\n \nHow You’ll Find Success\n\n\nDeep understanding of regional threat profile and challenges in the region.\nTrusted on-call PhySec Engineer that is able to represent the team and resolve issues autonomously. On-call shifts run during daylight hours only.\nFundamental understanding of networking technologies involved in CCTV and access control. Knowledge of operating systems including MacOS.\nProficient in leading investigations into security incidents, data breaches, misconduct allegations, or suspected fraud.\nExperience with managing emergency mass notification systems, physical security audits, visitor management systems, incident management systems, risk assessments, badging systems.\nPhysical security architecture and project management experience. Must be able to advise on the designs of regional offices and other Qualtrics facilities.\nUnderstanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations\n\n\n \nHow You’ll Grow\n\n\nProject Management - Opportunities to work closely with Facilities, InfoSec, IT, HR and operations teams on cross-functional projects.\nSelf Development  - Qualtrics invests in furthering your education. Our Qualtrics Engineer Development (QED) program encourages all Qualtrics engineers to invest in themselves by scheduling up to 10% of their time on individual engineering growth activities each quarter. In addition to QED funding can be sourced to gain / maintain certifications relevant to the business / team.\nNew Technologies - Opportunities to introduce new systems and tools to the company, security digitization and automation. We regularly assess our programs, conduct RFP’s to ensure we have the current technology/suppliers on the market.\n\n\n \nThings You’ll Do\n\n\nGrows the APJ physical security programs through both impactful projects and by managing daily physical security operations\nResponds to security alarms and emergencies, following incident response protocols and coordinating with relevant teams\nConducts ongoing threat assessments, develop proactive risk mitigation strategies\nProvides security training to personnel.\nSupports design planning and risk assessments for new regional Qualtrics facilities.\nLeads the implementation and maintenance of physical security systems for a defined area or facility.\nProvides technical guidance on access privileges, camera placement, and alarm configuration.\n\n\n \nWhat We’re Looking For On Your Resume\n\n\nMinimum of a BS degree, or 5+ years a Physical Security Operations / Manager / Engineer / Law Enforcement / Similar Security Management Roles.\n4-6 years of operational security experience, and physical security engineering (Security System Management)  in a fast-paced growth company\nProven experience in risk assessment and threat analysis, particularly within the EMEA region\nIn-depth knowledge of EMEA threat profiles and local challenges\nExperience with configuring, programming, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining large enterprise security systems, preferably LENEL S2 and MILESTONE, but experience in other security systems is acceptable.\nStrong Experience with incident response, investigations\nFluency in English + local language\n\n\n \nWhat You Should Know About This Team\n\n\nThe Physical Security team is integral to Qualtrics' mission.
