Job Summary:

The Physical Security Associate II is responsible for helping ensure the safety and security of Acrisure employees, visitors, and assets.  The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and implementing physical security policies and procedures, enforcing security measures, and managing security incidents.  The Physical Security Officer will work closely with the Director of Security to ensure compliance with security protocols and regulations. Key to the position is the ability to be organized, prioritized, and a keen attention to detail.

Essential Functions:

Respond to and assist in all emergencies, including but not limited to fires, medical emergencies, and criminal activity

Regular patrols of assigned areas to maintain order and establish a presence

Identify and prevent incidents of security or safety concern

Assist employees by controlling and de-escalating potentially volatile situations

Ensure security of Acrisure buildings, surrounding areas, and attached parking ramp

Conduct investigations into security incidents and report findings to management

Assist with emergency response procedures

Work with other departments to ensure compliance with security protocols

Manage relationships with external security vendors

Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Security

Requirements:

Detail oriented

Excellent observation skills

Must have effective verbal and written communications skills with the ability to coordinate amongst different stakeholders

Knowledge of security system design and integration of different technologies

Must be able to work calmy and efficiently, particularly under duress

Demonstrated ability to de-escalate stressful situations or emergencies

Ability to assess potential risks, threats, and vulnerabilities

Proactiveness in showing initiative, integrity, and good judgement

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift items up to 25 pounds

Must be able to be on your feet for extended periods of time

Must be able to be outside for extended periods of time in all weather conditions

Occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck to perform various duties

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

Medical first responder training preferred

CPR/AED certification

Experience

Previous experience in law enforcement or security preferred

Experience with security systems

Knowledge of CCTV systems

Strong communication skills

High level of discretion and confidentiality

Professional demeanor and appearance, treating others with respect and consideration

Ability to work independently, while also being able to contribute to a collaborative environment and take direction

Strong prioritization and time management skills
