Physical Security Operations Specialist
**Description** **Location** **: On site listed in the job posting.** **SUMMARY** This position will serve as a physical security advisor and will develop, plan, and direct policies and physical security programs to help control risk, prevent losses and protect the personnel and assets of First Horizon National Corporation and its subsidiaries. Directs physical security activities plus develops, implements, and maintains physical security processes, communication and tools based on industry standard best practice. Key focus areas will include but not limited to personnel security, protection of key assets and critical sites, and guard force management in accordance with the company’s strategy, vision, and risk appetite. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** + Leads and develops overall physical security operational planning practice. + Oversee tactical and operational security for key facility locations. + Provides guidance and interpretation about security standards, practices, and programs to support corporate security on an enterprise level. + Manage and audit the day-to-day operations of security guards across multiple sites. + Ability to lead and respond to security threats such as kidnap and active shooter scenarios. + Assist in creating and implementing physical security procedures in accordance with corporate policies, regulations, directives, and operating procedures. + Share intelligence information with senior staff regarding physical security matters and maintain situational awareness regarding current operations. + Maintain strong working relationships with Human Resources, Corporate Properties, Retail Banking, Business Resilience, and other corporate specific areas. + Focus on long-term planning, design, and strategy for the safety and security of all personnel. + Knowledge of best practices in security management principles. + Understanding of business strategies, direction and goals of the corporation or its individual programs, and how to develop and integrate supporting physical security strategies. + Ability to identify, analyze and explain the present or future needs for proposed physical security initiatives to senior management. + Strong leadership and administrative skills. + Confidential investigative skills. + Other duties as assigned **Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:** + Bachelor’s Degree +5 years required, or 7+ years preferred experience with increasing scope, responsibility and complexity in Physical Security or law enforcement and/or antiterrorism/force protection, supervision. + Self-directed, ability to lead strategy development and initiatives end-to-end with minimum oversight and continuous alignment with business outcomes. + Effective communication and presentation skills. + Ability to influence across multiple functions and teams. **PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT – Amount of Time Spent** + Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards. + Ability to be on-call after-hours, and willing to travel domestically or internationally. + Ability to perform onsite physical inspections of properties, equipment, etc. + Ability to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone. + Ability to lift 25 pounds. + Ability to drive a vehicle for extended periods day/night/inclement weather **About Us** First Horizon is a leading regional financial services company, dedicated to helping our clients, communities and associates unlock their full potential with capital and counsel.
