As a Physical Security Specialist Sr. within PNC's Enterprise Technology & Security organization, you will be part of a team and report into a Physical Security Regional Manager.
This position is based in the SE West Palm Beach FL area.
Law enforcement experience with a 4-year degree in Criminal Justice or similar fields of study, is preferred. We will consider work-related equivalent experience in the military, risk mitigation, or private security management experience with a focus on physical security.
You will be assigned a primary PNC office space in the assigned area of responsibility you will be asked to regularly travel in a geographical area to support and assess physical security at retail, facility locations, off-site ATMs, or anywhere PNC has an asset. Occasional travel outside of this area to support the physical security needs of the bank may be required. You must have the ability to be on-call after hours/weekends and will receive calls that may require guidance, or an in-person response should criminal activity be confirmed.
You will be asked to work with physical and electronic security vendors to ensure PNC assets are appropriately protected, and equipment is installed where applicable to meet PNC standards. You will work closely with both facility and construction project managers and participate in/ provide input and oversight for projects that impact physical security.
Proficient computer and communications skills are needed to write reports, create presentations, provide in-person or remote training to PNC employees, and be able to effectively communicate with PNC Management on the status of cases and/or physical security operations.
PNC will not provide sponsorship for employment visas or participate in STEM OPT for this position.Job DescriptionAdvises on the overall company physical security strategy and leads the implementation of all physical security programs, policies and procedures within a region and area of responsibility, service contracts and related compliance with the Bank Protection Act (BPA) in a market.Offers subject matter expertise surrounding the physical security strategy. Performs site inspections, adhering to the overall physical security strategy and standards. Identifies & resolves areas of risk/exposure. Recommends solutions and improvements to standards and policies including the maintenance and monitoring of access control systems and video surveillance systems. Applies knowledge of all applicable federal, state and local laws relating to security administration. Oversees and/or provides direction to on-site management of all emergency events and coordinates emergency response. Manages & responds to physical security needs of employees, buildings, technology and materials. Coordinates & manages vendor relationships within their area of responsibility to ensure all service level agreements are met. Approves contracts to meet developed policies and procedural guidelines for major business sites, segments or the entire location. Provides direction and guidance to contracted physical security staff. Consults with branch staff, retail operations managers and major building staff and facilitates/assists with the physical security training. Identifies new and innovative approaches to training of security systems and procedures. Regularly applies & shares intelligence with law enforcement in service of securing PNC employees, locations and assets both in response to and in anticipation of threats. Coordinates & provides executive protection as needed. Oversees initiatives and directs special projects, research and assignments related to physical security.
