Summary You will serve as a PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST in the FORCE PROTECTION DEPARTMENT of HDQTRS NDW. Responsibilities You will implement innovative methods and techniques to satisfy security policy and operational requirements for security program. You will maintain awareness of current federal policies, directives, and procedures, and evolving innovative approaches to Anti-Terrorism, Force Protection, law enforcement, and Physical Security education and training. You will develop a comprehensive mandatory Operations Security (OPSEC) orientation and annual awareness training program for organization personnel. You will coordinate the command's security awareness and education program for command personnel. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Enforcing physical security policies and regulations; 2) Recommending changes and/or updates to policies to ensure appropriate implementation; 3) Managing physical security programs to ensure proper execution; and 4) Determining corrective action for discrepancies and alternative solutions to improve effectiveness and efficiency of programs.
