PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST
Summary You will serve as a PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST for the NRD NEW YORK NY. Responsibilities You will develop threat assessments for Navy Recruiting Districts (NRD) or Navy Total Acquisition Groups (NTAG) off-installations, facilities, personnel and operations for use in identifying potential threats, critical assets and vulnerabilities. You will recommend the setting for higher Force Protection measures or conditions, as dictated by the threat environment. You will identify travel, equipment and training resources needed by NRD/NTAG Ant-Terrorism (AT) and prepare requests for approval by the NRD/NTAG or higher authority. You will coordinate extensively with local law enforcement agencies, NCIS, FBI, DHS and the Joint Terrorism Task Force to ensure agencies understand the unique security needs for the NRD/NTAG. You will monitor installation of new physical security features to ensure installation conforms to specifications. You will plan, implement and track the AT training program to ensure all personnel receive all AT training required by DoD and Navy policy and the NRD/NTAG AT program, incident report procedures, emergency action plans, and preplanned responses. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Executing a security program in accordance to federal policies and procedures; 2) Implementing training programs that prevent, deter, detect, or mitigate the effects of threats and attacks; 3) Analyzing information to identify potential security problems; 4) Offering anti-terrorism policy recommendations based on oral/written analyses, decisions, or conclusions of data.
