We are designated as a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital and are accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health care Organizations. In addition to our acute care hospital we also own and operate two Rural Health Clinics providing walk-in immediate care as well as scheduled appointments for routine medical needs.We are located in the northernmost area of California and are part of a network of care including Mercy Medical Center Redding and St. Elizabeth Community Hospital in Red Bluff. Responsibilities
Position Summary:As part of a multidisciplinary team the Physical Therapist must effectively communicate with patients with musculoskeletal disease evaluate their conditions and develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans to return them to their optimal level of function. In addition acts as needed as member of the Hospice interdisciplinary team providing in-home assessment/evaluation patient/family/caregiver education and in-service training for both staff and volunteers. Must be organized and consistently follow through with responsibilities in a timely manner especially in documentation. Superior performance in this position involves people skills and customer orientation while simultaneously solving problems in an independent manner. Incumbent is expected to work independently under broad directives and may have responsibility for specific area(s) of clinical expertise. This job has the potential for exposure to blood and body fluids.


Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:Experience treating acute inpatients outpatients and skilled nursing facility residentGraduate of accredited physical therapist programTraining sufficient to remain current in career fieldDemonstrated ability to communicate with others in a team setting that is sometimes stressfulEmpathy and sensitivity to the needs of customers is crucialMust be able to evaluate patient problems and needs within the physical therapist’s scope of care and to develop appropriate plan of careAdvanced level skills in delivery of patient care and clinical/community education programsCurrent California Registered Physical Therapist licenseCurrent BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
