Physical Therapist

Physical Therapists test muscle strength, the amount of flexibility in joints, and the ability to walk or move. Treatments include exercises to increase strength, range of motion, endurance, and coordination, the use of heat, cold, electricity, or even aquatics to relieve pain, and teaching exercises and body mechanics to avoid injury or regain function. Since this position requires physical interaction with patients, Physical Therapists are highly connected with patients and build stronger patient relationships than most other health sciences specialists. We are looking for a PT interested in treating the neurologic patient population!
A caregiver in this position works varying shifts between 7:30am – 6:30pm, all Full Time therapists are expected to work 2 late days (till 6:30pm). Also looking for a PT interested in treating the neurologic patient population.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Evaluate and treat physical therapy patients and communicate to referral sources about patient's initial condition, progress, and discharge disposition.
Complete patient related and non-patient related documentation in a timely manner.
Delegate and supervise the patient care of PTAs, support staff and students.
Achieve personal and professional development through participation in continuing education, in-services, orientation programs and student programs.
Market services to patients, referral sources and the public.
Organize work assignments and time, without compromising quality patient care, to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency.
Follow system and department policies and procedures with special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge, and safety.
Complete mandatory education and training to maintain organization and department specific competencies and requirements.
Maintain applicable certification/licensure. Maintains required BLS.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy.
Physical Therapy current license to practice in Ohio.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Previous experience treating orthopedically involved patients.
