Physical Therapist Assistant

King Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) who is licensed in North Carolina or is a graduate of an approved PTA program and is actively working toward licensure.

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is responsible for implementing treatment programs established by the Physical Therapist in accordance with all state, federal and JCAHO regulations. They collaborate with facility staff to promote the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial wellbeing for the residents.

Must be currently licensed in North Carolina .

PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT

MUST BE A GRADUATE OF AN ACCREDITED PROGRAM AS A PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT PTA,  HAVE TAKEN THE NPTE EXAM AND HAVE A STATE LICENSE TO PRACTICE AS ONE.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Assesses the needs of residents with occupational therapy needs and matches their needs with services available. Meets with residents regularly according to treatment program schedule, evaluates, and maintains records of residents' progress.

Reports progress to management and family members and meets with them on a regular basis to discuss.

Repeats evaluations on a regular basis to measure progress according to professional guidelines.

Keeps current with professional literature and attends seminars on a regular basis to maintain and update professional skills.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Hearing ability sufficient to evaluate residents' occupational therapy needs.

Skill communicating verbally and in writing with residents and family members so that all parties understand the program and the degree of progress being made.

 

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE THE 2-YEAR ASSOCIATE’S DEGREE AS A PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT, HAVE TAKEN AND PASSED THE NPTE EXAM AND POSSESS A PROFESSIONAL LICENSE TO PRACTICE IN YOUR STATE.
