Are you a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant with a passion for helping patients regain their independence? We are looking for an exceptional Home Care PTA to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of those recovering from illness and injury. Work primarily weekdays with a weekend rotation monthly. Enjoy the autonomy of managing your daily work schedule About the Role: As a Home Care Physical Therapy Assistant, you will: Provide both direct and indirect patient care to facilitate the rehabilitation and restoration of normal body functions. Under the direction of a physical therapist, conduct treatment programs based on each patient's plan of care. Administer therapeutic modalities and train patients in therapeutic exercises, transfers, and gait. Responsibilities Physical Therapy Skilled Treatments. Client Care Coordination. Teaching, Supervision and Counseling Clients and Caregivers. Documentation of Interdisciplinary Communication. Problem Solving and Critical Thinking Skills. Documentation. Ability to effectively and safely transfer patients with significant physical and/or mental impairment. Time Management Assists in Deliver of Plan of Care Able to recognize the need for a change in the plan of care and effectively communicating this to the supervising therapist in a timely manner Qualifications Ability to assist in patient lifts, transfers, and guarded functional activity training. Competencies Skills Essential: * Clear Communication Skills Both Written and Verbal * Able To Keep Confidential Information Regarding Patients, Team Members * Able To Withstand Crisis Situations * Has Skills to Provides Customer Service to Patients, Team Members and Visitors * Proof Of Current/Valid Car Insurance * Knowledge And Experience with Electronic Health Records * Experience With Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio, Etc. * Valid DL With No More Than 3 Moving Violations " Credentials Essential: * PTA - Physical Therapy Assistant * BLS - Basic Life Saving certification Education Minimum required: Associates Degree Other Information Entry USD $24.62/Hr. Expert USD $38.16/Hr.
