Schedule: Full Time, Mon - Fri

Responsibilities Provide direct physical therapy according to directions of physical therapist and in accordance with the physician’s plan of careDirect and aid patient in active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle reeducation, gait and functional training, transfer activities and prosthetic trainingUtilize physical agents, including heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound and massageInstruct in use of wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devicesObserve and report to the physical therapist the patient’s reaction to treatment and any changes in conditionEnsure compliance with all state and federal legal and regulatory requirementsAdditional responsibilities as assigned Qualifications Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the CAPTE with current licensure to practice in state of operation1+ year PTA experienceHome health experience preferredCommitment to clinical and documentation excellence About our Line of Business At Abode Hospice and Home Health, our primary ambition is to bring first-class care to the warmest and most serene environment possible: home.
