The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), under the direction of the Rehab Director/Manager and Licensed Physical Therapist, provides treatment, exercise instruction, and patient education in the homecare setting as directed by the Physical Therapist. Performs treatment interventions to achieve short and/or long-term goals as prescribed on the Plan of Care. The PTA performs other duties as assigned by PT and/or Rehab Director/Manager.
Minimum Requirements
Education
Graduate of PTA program approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical TherapyEducation of the American Physical Therapy Association
Associate degree in Physical Therapy
Experience
One (1) year of clinical experience
License/Registration/Certifications
Current license to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in South Carolina Valid SC Driver’s License with good driving record CPR certification
