Physical Therapist – Outpatient/Neuro

Fast-paced, high volume Outpatient Therapy Department is looking for top skilled Physical Therapist.  Is that you?

 

Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas TX 75231

Work hours:  Full-time; 40 hours per week

Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:30pm OR 9:30am - 6:00pm

Outpatient department with physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists who work collaboratively to provide excellent patient care.

Here’s What You Need

Bachelor's Degree Completion of a Physical Therapy program Required PT - Physical Therapist Texas Physical Therapy License Upon Hire Required BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly) Required Experience treating neuro patients highly preferred Vestibular, Concussion, and LSVT certifications are plus 

What You Will Do

·       Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment

·       Performs treatment procedures that are within the scope of the professional license

·       Utilizes a variety of treatment techniques to achieve goals, if necessary

·       Determines patient response to treatment and evaluates progress (reassessment)

·       Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home programs/self-management and assistive equipment

·       Communicates with physicians and other healthcare personnel as appropriate regarding patient care issues

·       Demonstrates competence in the performance of age-appropriate patient treatment and individualizes care based on age specific needs

·       Motivates non-compliant or unmotivated patients to participate in therapy
