·        Work location: Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania Avenue, Ft. Worth, TX 76104

·        Sports Medicine department

Work hours: PRN, on an as needed basis, Monday-Friday, between 7AM-6PM, no weekends, schedule varies.

Deliver care for injuries, nutrition and physical therapy

Here’s What You Need

·        Bachelor's Degree Physical Therapy upon hire Required Or
Master's Degree Physical Therapy upon hire Required Or
Other Doctorate Physical Therapy upon hire Required.

·        Two (2) years prior experience strongly preferred.

·        PT - Physical Therapist Texas - Physical Therapy License Upon Hire Required

·        BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required

·        Other Board-certified Clinical Specialist Upon Hire Preferred.

·        Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

·        Problem-solving ability, Ability to teach others and Time management skills.

·        Good interpersonal and customer service skills, Basic leadership skills

 

Staff Certifications:

Geriatric Clinical Specialists (ABPTS) Orthopedic Clinical Specialists (ABPTS) Wound Management Clinical Specialist (ABPTS) Certified lymphedema therapists Certified hand therapists

 

 

 

What You Will Do

·        Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care.

·        Performs treatment procedures/techniques that are within the scope of the professional license.

·        Educates patient and family through instruction, demonstration, and/or appropriate handouts in treatment plan, safety issues, home programs/self-management and assistive equipment.

·        Initiates therapy discharge planning in collaboration with care team and patient based on prognosis and expected discharge disposition.

·        Attends and/or leads hospital, department, and community meetings / educational in-services.

·        Strong commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration
