Our Pediatric Day Health Care Centers are bright, fun places designed especially for children with complex medical needs. We provide a safe, caring environment for children up to age eight to receive skilled nursing care and therapies while playing and interacting with their peers. We are currently hiring aPRN/part-time Physical Therapistto join our incredible team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our kiddos. Position Overview The Physical Therapist is responsible and accountable for the evaluation, coordination, and administration of quality physical therapy services to pediatric clients within the center. This includes creating and implementing treatment plans, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and providing regular progress updates. Position Details: + Rate:Starting at$40/hour + Schedule:Monday – Friday, daytime only; no nights and no weekends! Essential Job Functions + Provide physical therapy services as prescribed by the physician. + Follow policies and procedures, conforming to all applicable patient care standards, licensure regulations, and state laws. + Conduct comprehensive written evaluations to define physical therapy needs, goals, and expected outcomes in conjunction with the referring physician's Plan of Treatment. + Develop and implement a writtenPlan of Care, coordinating with nursing staff and other healthcare team members to ensure continuous care. + Administer appropriate therapy techniques according to identified goals and treatment programs. + Participate in the coordination of services (including discharge planning) with the healthcare team, physicians, parents/guardians, and other relevant personnel. + Ensure patient safety through diligent administration of care. + Maintain effective communication between staff, healthcare team members, and families. + Serve as a resource consultant for clinical staff. + Provide physicians and Aveanna with written evaluations of patient needs, goals, and progress as required. + Attend patient case conferences and participate in in-services as necessary. + Supervise other personnel, such asPhysical Therapist Assistants (PTAs)andHome Health Aides (HHAs),when required. Requirements + Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapyfrom an accredited program. + Certification inPhysical Therapy. + Current and unrestrictedlicense to practice as a Physical Therapistin the state of Florida. + CurrentCPR certification. + Demonstrated proficiency inclinical assessments, documentation, and compliancewith nursing care policies and procedures. Preferences + One (1) year ofrecent experienceas a Physical Therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting. + Experience working withpediatric populationsis preferred. Other Skills/Abilities + Ability to adhere toconfidentiality standardsand maintainprofessional boundariesat all times. + Strongattention to detail. + Effectivetime management skills. + Excellentproblem-solving and conflict-resolutionabilities. + Outstandingorganizational and communicationskills. Physical Requirements + Ability to lift up to50 pounds. + Prolonged periods ofwalking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and twisting. + Capability tosit and climb stairsas needed. + Strongvisual and hearing acuity. + Ability toreposition patients and move equipmentwithout assistance. + Capability torespond physically and mentallyto emergency situations within the center. Environment + Ability to function in avariety of center environments, which may involve exposure toallergensand other conditions. + Possible exposure toblood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
