Overview This position is in the acute care setting at UF Health Jacksonville – Downtown. PRN positions require one weekend day a month and two holidays per year. Weekday availability preferred. PRN employees who work an average for 30 hours per week become eligible for benefits after a year. Qualifications Age of Patients Served:All Age Groups.Required Education:Bachelor's Degree. Specific course work: Physical Therapy preferredNecessary Skills:1. Knowledge of Physical Therapy theory, procedures, practices and equipment. 2. Good communication skills. Proactive, positive approach to problem solving.3. Thorough knowledge of possible hazards/necessary precautions/remedial measures in the treatment and care of patients. 4. Ability to assess and implement a treatment programs for simple and complex therapy diagnoses. 5. Computer skills in Microsoft Office suite.Required Licensure/Certifications:Current Florida Physical Therapy license.BLS from the American Heart AssociationPreferred Experience:Experience in hospital-based rehabilitation services.Preferred Education:Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical TherapyRequired Experience:Less than one year clinical experience in area of job opening (e.g. Acute, outpatient, etc.)
