Physical Therapist-PRN (Pelvic Health)

Overview We are looking for a highly-trained Physical Therapist to join our Outpatient Rehabilitation team with experience in management of pelvic health disorders and general outpatient caseload. Experience preferred for the following pelvic health disorders: colorectal dysfunction/dyssynergic defecation, obstetric/postpartum difficulties, overactive bladder, dyspareunia, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, post-radiation recovery, and urinary or fecal incontinence for both males and females. Physical Therapist can be APTA Board-Certified Women’s Health Clinical Specialist, however also open to therapists who have received training in APTA Pelvic Health courses Level 1-3, pregnancy and postpartum courses as well. Qualifications Age of Patients Served:All Age Groups.Required Education:Bachelor's Degree. Specific course work: Physical Therapy preferredNecessary Skills:1. Knowledge of Physical Therapy theory, procedures, practices and equipment. 2. Good communication skills. Proactive, positive approach to problem solving.3. Thorough knowledge of possible hazards/necessary precautions/remedial measures in the treatment and care of patients. 4. Ability to assess and implement a treatment programs for simple and complex therapy diagnoses. 5. Computer skills in Microsoft Office suite.Required Licensure/Certifications:Current Florida Physical Therapy license.BLS from the American Heart AssociationPreferred Experience:Experience in hospital-based rehabilitation services.Preferred Education:Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical TherapyRequired Experience:Less than one year clinical experience in area of job opening (e.g. Acute, outpatient, etc.)
