FlexStaff is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist for our client, a non-profit organization that provides services to children, adults, and veterans with disabilities.
Position Details:
Hours: Monday to Friday from 8:15 AM to 3:25 PM (6.5-hour day) Duration: 10 months per year (183 days) License Requirement: New York State Physical Therapist license required. Experience: Prior experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.Responsibilities:
Screen, identify, and assess students with motor skill delays or disabilities. Diagnose physical impairments and develop individualized treatment plans. Implement therapeutic interventions to improve students' physical functioning and mobility. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support students' needs. Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary. Recommend appropriate equipment and services to enhance students’ mobility and accessibility. Provide education to students, families, and school staff on physical therapy topics. Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings as needed.
