Job Overview:

Responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients in the acute care setting. Participates in performance improvement activities and development of programs for the department.

Qualifications:

Required:

Graduate of accredited program in Physical Therapy at the baccalaureate or post baccalaureate level and licensed/registered by the State New Jersey. Minimum of three years experience in Physical Therapy.

Preferred:

Active membership in a professional organization is encouraged but not required.

Scheduling Requirements:

This is a full time, day position, 40 hours/weekRotating weekend and holiday availability required

Essential Functions:

Provides thorough, appropriate care to all patients:Complete treatments, designed to meet specific documented goals are implemented using appropriate techniques and modalities.Proper body mechanics are used to ensure -the health and safety of both patients and clinician. Proper body mechanics are used to ensure the health and safety of both patients and clinician.Ensures patient records are accurately and thoroughly maintained according to department policy and procedureCommunicates frequently with the DirectorFunctions as a resource for technical data information in Physical TherapyAttends department meetingsParticipates in student/volunteer programsAttends continuing education seminars outside of RWJUH and reports to staff regarding content and case relevanceAttends relevant in-house programsDemonstrates the awareness of safety, security, life safety, preparedness and utility and department policies
