This is a PTA PRN position to help with increased volume of Miami University D1 athletes at our outpatient clinic in Oxford, Ohio.
Job Overview:
Under general direction, provides physical therapy services to patients following the plan of care established by a physical therapist to optimize physical function. Provides comprehensive treatment approach to patients of varying diagnoses while serving as a model for co-workers, handling conflict resolution appropriately and maintaining/contributing to morale. Participates in clinical education, communication and documentation as appropriate according to the scope of physical therapy assistant licensure.
Job Requirements:
Associate's Degree in Allied Health
Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) Physical Therapy Assistant Current Ohio licensure
1-2 years experience Clinical
Job Responsibilities:
Provides comprehensive and functionally based treatment and patient/family education taking into consideration the patient's age, educational level, family support, cultural and psychosocial issues.
Meets established departmental productivity standards of Visits/Procedures and coverage of call patients as needed.
Completes all written documentation in accordance with departmental policy and procedure for timeliness, format, and content.
Collaborates with the evaluating therapist to ensure that the established treatment plan is carried out, that the patient is progressing toward discharge, and that periodic reassessment and treatment modification occurs when indicated by patient status.
Accurately completes specific departmental delegated duties in a timely manner.
