Job Description Summary: Looking for a Physical Therapy Assistant t to join our acute rehab unit therapy team. Join an experienced rehab team working intensively with patients to facilitate their recovery. We are a Stroke Rehabilitation Certified program located in our beautiful inpatient unit at The Alfond Center for Health. Job Description:

The Opportunity:

Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, you will provide physical therapy services to patients who need to develop, recover, and maintain physical mobility and function within an assigned area.

The Work:

Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising therapist using appropriate modalities, seeking consultation as necessary.Monitor patients' responses to the treatment plan.Regularly communicate patient progress and potential goal revisions to the physical therapist.Document services provided and patient responses/progress.Educate patients and their families/caregivers.Assist with patient discharge planning.Provide information regarding the selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs.

Qualifications:

Maine State Physical Therapy Assistant licensure required.Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification preferred.
