Summary
Full-time, DaysThe Acute Care Manager of the Physical Therapy (PT) Department will be responsible and accountable for the overall clinical operations of the PT Department. The Acute Care Manager is also responsible for the growth and development of Physical Therapy programs as well as the day-to-day management of PT departmental operations. Assists with interviews, onboarding, and annual performance reviews/validations in conjunction with the Assistant Director (ADOR) and Director of Rehab Services (DOR). Facilitates the advancement of the team’s quality of care through in-servicing, mentoring, student programming and coordination of performance improvement projects. Responsible for managing all PT operations in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, ethical and professional practices, and regulatory agency guidelines. Responsible for appropriate delegation and supervision of duties for physical therapists, physical therapist’s assistants, and support staff.
Education
Bachelor's degree from a school of Physical Therapy Current License by the Kentucky State Board of Physical Therapy
Experience
5 years of acute care experience required 1 year of supervisory experience preferred

Job Description:

Completes daily census assignments for PT/OT.
Facilitates quality services and promote positive employee relations.
Coordinates department’s activities for operational excellence.
Meets all hospital requirements and expectations.
Participates in departmental and hospital wide operational plan activities.
Provides Comprehensive Inpatient Physical Therapy Services.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from a school of Physical Therapy required
5 years of acute care experience required
Current License by the Kentucky State Board of Physical Therapy required
BLS
1 year of supervisory experience preferred
