Position Summary: Our busy orthopedic practice in St. George, Utah is looking to hire a skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
Essential Job Functions: Provides medical care and treatment to patients under direction of supervising physician. Performs physical exams, collects and documents data, conducts approved diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, orders laboratory studies, prescribes medication, assists in surgery, rounds on inpatients, and prescribes appropriate interventions. Compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination. Collaborates with the supervising physician in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients. Ability to manage a busy clinic schedule. Displays willingness to make decisions and exhibits sound and accurate judgment. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Successful completion of National Certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. Must hold licensure/certification as required by the state of Utah, and DEA.
Hours: Full time- variable hours depending on surgery/clinic schedule. Occasional hospital inpatient rounding on weekends.
