Overview WakeMed Physician Practices is a multi-specialty group with nearly 500 physicians in a variety of specialty areas. We are currently seeking physicians with an interest and fellowship training in Critical Care/Pulmonology to join our group in Raleigh, NC. Our team currently consists of 16 physicians and 4 APP's. Our physicians provide inpatient critical care at WakeMed as well as inpatient pulmonology services and eICU coverage. Typical procedures include bronchoscopy, central lines, intubation, thoracentesis among others. Typical full-time schedule is approximately 16 in-house shifts per month. Nightshifts are supported with eICU cross-coverage and assistance. Fantastic opportunity for those who have an interest in clinical teaching as our physicians also supervise second-year ED residents who rotate through our ICUs. Sleep training a plus but not required. Qualified candidates must be BE/BC. The WakeMed Physician is responsible for providing quality clinical care to patients cared for by their division. The Physician may be responsible for providing teaching and supervision to residents, medical students and/or APP's within their division. The Physician is responsible for appropriate coding and corporate compliance and may be responsible for some general administrative responsibilities of the practice. Physician reports directly to the Director of their assigned division and understands and supports the mission values, and management of WakeMed Physician Practices and WakeMed.
