+ JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS + Job Summary : + MD/DO uses current evidence-based knowledge and skills to make sound, professional physical assessment/examinations; treatment/plans of care; and dispositions (e.g., physiologic, psychological, socioeconomic, cultural) of acute and chronically ill and injured patients. The practitioner monitors and evaluates the plan of care, and makes revisions as needed, or initiates consultations/referrals when appropriate. The practitioner provides patient care for pediatric through geriatric population. + Education : + Medical Degree + Registration/Certification/Licensure : + Board Certified + BLS Certified + Experience : + Other Requirements : + Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements. + Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care. + Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards. + Knowledge of community medical diagnostic and patient care services in area of medical expertise. + Ability to supervise, advise, and train clinical professionals and/or students in area of expertise. + Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids and ability to prescribe dosages and instruct patients in correct usage. + Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops. + Knowledge of current principles, methods and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis and treatment in area of expertise. + Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. + Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements. + Ability to observe, assess, and record symptoms, reactions, and progress. + Effective verbal and written communication skills.
