Our practice is comprised of physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants with the mission of treating elderly, frail, homebound patients with dignity and compassion .
We are currently looking for a Physician to join our team on a Full time basis in the Toms River area of Ocean County. The position would be responsible for providing delivery of high quality care practices in the treatment of symptoms and promoting the highest quality of life for homebound patients and their families.
Responsibilities Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workersProvides direct medical services and consultation to primary care homebound patients within established productivity guidelinesMonitors the patient’s condition and responsiveness to the treatment providedMaintains complete patient records using the Electronic Medical record and complies with all reporting mechanismsEnsures compliance with the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services Ambulatory Care Regulations for Licensure as well as requirements of other licensing and accrediting bodies, health maintenance organizations and other insurance carriersActs as an agency representative with patients and their families as well as with other health agencies, groups and organizationsCollaborates in the provision of formal and informal education for staffAdheres to agency infection control and safety policies, and guidelines of regulatory agenciesParticipates in community outreach programs regarding VPS services and programs QualificationsThe ideal candidate for the Physician position will have the following qualifications:
Licensed as a physician in New Jersey with education and experience in primary care settingsGeriatric experience recommendedBoard certified in family practice or internal medicineActive CDS and DEA licenseCar and valid NJ driver’s licenseWorking Conditions/Physical Demand: Traveling to patients' homes. Exposure to blood, body fluids and communicable diseases. Sitting, fine motor hand movement, standing, walking, lifting 40 pounds, pushing, reaching, pulling.
