The Physician/Advanced Practitioner Recruiter is part of the Provider Relations department and oversees the Provider Experience Journey, including sourcing and acquisition of provider talent; onboarding; provider relations; business to business provider marketing; provider engagement; provider retention; and succession management. Professional staff in the department provide expert guidance to providers across SPH in these critical areas. The Physician/Advanced Practitioner Recruiter is a critical function that aligns to the Provider Relations Senior Director and the President of St. Peter’s Health Medical Group.

Experience working on a wide variety of tasks simultaneously in a busy office with high public and professional contact. Excellent communication skills and follow-up required. Strong computer skills and software knowledge, experience in office setting and customer service industry. Understanding of the complexities of physician practice management, financial understanding of P and L reports, metric focused. Ability to develop project plans and execute on results. Possesses an understanding of self and others.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: Current driver’s license.
Primary Job ResponsibilitiesThe Physician/Advanced Practitioner Recruiter must be an experienced and detail-oriented candidate comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, fun, and people-centric organization.
Talent Acquisition Reviews staff requisitions and develops a recruitment strategy and set of selection criteria. Performs recruitment search via a variety of methods. Reviews applications and resumes, conducts screening interviews, and coordinates credentialing, reference and background checks of potential candidates. Provides a warm welcome from St. Peter’s Health to the provider by anticipating needs, paving the pathway to the correct connection points, links to company resources, third party websites, and following up with details and resources for pre-employment inquiries via in person, email or phone contacts. Displays attributes of respect, caring and loving kindness during the pre-employment period, proactively providing information and paperwork, facilitating community and organizational connections, and sharing resources within the community and the organization, to new providers and their families. Assists in completion of background screening, drug testing and capturing of required licensure and certification documentation as required by job description. Assists with electronic and in person meeting coordination to include, scheduling, inviting, booking travel, arranging follow up and facilitation of connection to resources. Guides providers to connections of desired resources for new candidate and new hire connections. Extracts and compiles data for recruitment metrics and reporting. Compiles and enters candidate and new hire information. Travel related to recruiting fairs and conferences. Coordinates all aspects of locums sourcing/coverage – secure locum, locum compensation and contracting, insurance, housing, vehicle and travel. New Provider Orientation/Onboarding Creates a welcoming and kind environment and proactively responds to support the needs of providers by answering questions or connecting to experts Performs and manages transactional and learning documents in a timely manner for onboarding and off boarding processes within multiple electronic platforms, such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point, SmartSheets, the electronic health record, the learning management system, and human resources information systems Provides input, insight and creative feedback in the development of pamphlets, flyers, certificates, email instructions and marketing and recruiting resource materials, tools and packets. Supports requirements for daily, weekly and monthly reporting and follow up for leaders, providers, tracking spreadsheets and list for data. Facilitates connections between new candidates, Provider Relations and other SPH team members. Works to maintain and continually develop the mentoring process for all newly hired providers to improve provider retention. Complies with employment laws and regulations in recruitment and hiring activities. Business to Business Marketing Increase awareness of new providers in the organization through marketing outreach. Conduct basic research as asked regarding regional markets for SPHMG service lines Develop relationships with referring clinics both within and outside of the local Helena area Coordinate and facilitate relationships between marketing and providers to be highlighted in Business to Business efforts Work with Senior Director of Provider Relations and practice managers to establish outreach clinicsOther: May participate in a variety of multi-disciplinary, cross-functional teams to assure highly effective outcomes.
