Physician Advisor
**Responsibilities** + Advocate for the best and most efficient care for hospital patients. + Remove barriers to care and facilitate communication between stakeholders. + Collaborate with attending physicians to optimize patient care pathways. + Support and enhance the clinical credibility of the Care Coordination Department's utilization and compliance activities. + Participate in an annual performance evaluation using hospital-adopted metrics. + Promote systems-based practice, regulatory compliance, and quality considerations. + Interact with multidisciplinary groups to improve the quality of patient care. + Option for moonlighting or limited clinical practice + Open to any specialty **Qualifications** + Physician License (or the ability to obtain) in the State of California (Required). + 5+ years of experience practicing medicine in a recognized hospital or office environment (Required). + 2+ years of work experience as a Physician Advisor (Preferred). + Membership in the American College of Physician Advisors (Preferred). + Certification in Health Care Quality Management (HCQM) (Required). + Excellent communication, interpersonal, and clinical knowledge skills. + Ability to interact with physicians in a collaborative and positive manner. + Highly organized and able to work effectively with multidisciplinary groups. + Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English. **Overview** **About Dignity Health Mercy San Juan Medical Center:** For over 50 years, Mercy San Juan Medical Center has been a cornerstone of the North Sacramento and South Placer County communities.
