Position Summary / Career Interest:Physician - AP/CP Pathologist

The University of Kansas Health System, Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, is seeking a clinically oriented AP/CP, board-certified, surgical pathologist with experience in general pathology and one or more subspecialties including GU and GI. This is a full-time appointment on the clinical track in the Kansas Medical Center Department of Pathology.

The successful candidate should possess strong diagnostic skills with subspecialty training or experience in the specified specialties. In addition to participating in diagnostic sign out of 1 to 2 subspecialty areas, the successful candidate will be expected to participate in the general surgical pathology frozen section services.

This position offers a unique opportunity to have a clinically-oriented practice while being affiliated with the University of Kansas Department of Pathology and join a department with over 25 subspecialized pathologists on the main campus. Opportunity for teaching residents and medical students as well as translational research is available for those interested.

Required Qualifications:

M.D., M.D./Ph.D. or D.O. degree

Board certified or eligible in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology

Eligible for medical licensure in Kansas and Missouri
