This position will be working in an approved site for loan repayment options via National Health Service Corps (NHSC) or Nurse Corps.
ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities:
Provides medical evaluation and treatment of the patientInterviews patients to obtain history, performs physical examinations, orders lab and other tests, prescribes medications and treatmentsProvides continuity in managed care for patients with pre-existing long term problems.Makes referrals for secondary and tertiary carePerforms medical procedures according to privileges issuedProvides health maintenance visits, evaluates for immunizations and provides anticipatory guidance and referrals; performs contract and special physical examinations such as employment, etc.; performs STD (sexually transmitted disease) and family planning screening and educationDocuments and codes all patient contact accurately and legibly in the medical recordPerforms as an active member of the medical teamPerforms other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Completion of an accredited physician assistant training program and licensure with the state of Alabama to practice as a Physician Assistant.
