**Overview** This position is located at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune (NMCCL) Camp Lejeune, NC. This is an employed civilian Physician Assisatant ( Family Practice) position that affords job security, a competitive salary, bonuses, moving expenses, full malpractice coverage, up to 26 days paid vacation, 11 days paid Federal Holidays, a sick leave benefit, CME opportunities, and a first-class health and retirement benefit package. **Responsibilities** As a Physician Assistant (Family Practice) you will perform duties such as: + Provide consultation, teach, and coordinate with patients and their family members of treatment and medical care. + Examine patients and perform initial patient work-up and assessment of patients' care and treatment. + Determine the need for and orders laboratory tests, X-rays and other procedures necessary to complete assessment of the patient. + Prescribe for and treat a variety of diseases, disorders, and injuries. + Provide a full range of emergency services or crises interventions in the absence of the physician. **Qualifications** US Citizenship Required At least one year of experience as a certified physician assistant treating patients in a Family Practice setting. Graduation from a physician assistant educational program, accredited by the Accreditation Review Committee on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARCPA), or its predecessors, at a college, university, or educational institution that is accredited by an accrediting body or organization recognized by the Secretary, U.S. Department of Education. Successful completion of the National Commission of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) examination; must maintain status as a certified physician assistant, including completion of all requirements for continuing medical education (CME) and re-certification.
