POSITION DETAILS:

Practice: Dr. Anderson - Orthopaedic Interventionalist, Sports, Spine & Regenerative Medicine, PM&R and Pain Medicine

Location: Basalt, CO; though all teams may be expected to travel to other clinic locations (Edwards, Frisco, Basalt, Aspen) as needed by the practice.

Schedule: Typical Monday-Friday work week

Status: Exempt, Salary

Classification: Full-time, year-round

Compensation: Entry Range: $105,000 - $130,000 DOE

PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our team of Interventionalist Medicine professionals. As a Physician Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and assisting the physician in all aspects of patient management to provide exceptional care to our patients. Time will be divided between the clinic, and administrative tasks centered on patient care.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collaborates with attending physician to conduct patient assessments and help develop treatment plans for orthopedic conditions.Performs administrative tasks for the assigned practice.Performs initial interview and assessment of patient.Performs procedures within the PA scope of practice as directed by the supervising physician in the clinic.Assist with interventional procedures.Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.Educate patients and their families on orthopedic conditions, treatment options and post-procedure care.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.Manages prescription medication for practice.Establishes and maintains effective relationships with patients, families, key decision-makers, facility and department staff, and collaborating physicians.Performs other duties as assigned by the physician. Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university Physician Assistant program accredited by the AMA Council on Medical Education required; Master's degree strongly preferred.Certification by the National Commission for Certified Physician’s Assistants (NCCPA) required. Registered and licensed by the Colorado Board of Medical Examiners. Current DEA number required. Current certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for healthcare providers required.Active state license to practice as a Physician Assistant.Experience in Interventionalist Medicine preferred, but not required.Must maintain a professional attitude toward patients and an excellent and collegial working relationship with other Steadman Clinic and hospital personnel involved in patient care.Excellent critical thinking skills, ability to work independently, and manage time effectively.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.2 - 4 Years experience is preferred, however we are open to well-qualified new graduates.
