This roleis a hybridof inpatient and outpatient responsibilities,with occasional OR opportunitiesin the future.The Advanced Practitioners (APPs) are part of a multidisciplinary team that plans and delivers care forsurgicalpatients from the emergency room to the operating room, surgical floors, critical care units, and outpatientsetting. Role: Open toPhysician Assistantsand Acute Care Nurse Practitioners Location: 79Jefferson Street, Hartford, 06102 Setting:Inpatientand Outpatient Setting Schedule:Full-time,3x13 hour shifts. Monday-Friday 6am-7:30pm.No nights.Premium differentials offered. Call schedule:Home call, one weekendof answeringservice phone calls per month. In consultation with the physician(s) and care team members,Advanced Practitionersdevelop plans for further evaluation of health needs, e.g., referral to other health team members or specialists. Advanced Practitionersprovideappropriate treatmentfor problems within the scope of the provider’s practice asdesignatedby protocols andidentifiesproblems outside of their scope of practice and refers appropriately to physician.
