JOB SUMMARY
The Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner, is a skilled member of the allied health care team who is qualified both academically and clinically to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients under the collaboration of a licensed physician. The PA or NP works within a cooperative unit, utilizing team effort with health care providers, co-workers, and the public to provide positive patient interaction.
In this role, you will work with same day access/Urgent Care department for cross covering. The schedule will be approximately 7AM-7PM M-F and S-S 8:00-2:30 PM.
Experience in Urgent Care as an NP or PA is required.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant Program.
Preferred/Optional: None
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: one year in specialty as an NP or PA.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
Minimum Required: Certification from the National Commission on Certifications of Physician Assistants. Must be eligible to obtain or already hold a current State of Wisconsin Physician Assistant licensure. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire. Additional department-specific certifications, licenses, or memberships may be required (varies by department/location).
Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.
