Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding Physician Assistant - Trauma and Acute Surgery to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. Kings County Hospital operates a world-renowned Level I Trauma Center, one of only three in Brooklyn, which serves 2.6 million residents of Brooklyn and Staten Island.

Opportunity Details:

Operative procedures, patient rounding or consults, and responding to trauma resuscitations.  Assists in robotic-assisted surgery for all Trauma/Acute Care surgery patients.  Assists in surgery and performs minor surgical procedures, such as suturing and wound care and other procedures.  Direct patient care as well as assessment, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, patient diagnosis, prescribing medications and treatment. Provides patient education, assists in the operation of outpatient Trauma and/or other General Surgery clinics, as needed.  Will assist in SICU, as needed. Will assist Pediatric Surgery Division, as needed for Pediatric Trauma patients.  Records accurate patient notes and treatment plans in the Electronic Medical Record. Attends weekly staff conferences and daily morning report.
