This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Medical Group to provide medical services to patients. **Position Highlights:** + Assist in surgery; Cardiac and Vascular + Occasional outpatient clinics + Rotating rounding responsibilities, working closely with the CVICU team + May place/remove Intra Aortic Balloon Pumps + Obtains patient history and performs assessment. Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic procedures + Provides and documents direct treatment and management of health conditions + Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options, and community resources **Responsibilities:** + Obtains patient history and performs assessment. Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic procedures. + Provides and documents direct treatment and management of health conditions. + Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options, and community resources. + Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations, and care. **Requirements** Licensure/Certification/Registration: + BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. + Physician Assistant credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Verified by local Credentialing Office. + Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. + Orthopedic Physician Assistant preferred. Verified by local Credentialing Office. Education: + Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program required. + Master's degree preferred.
