Corewell Health Primary Care - Berrien Springs, MI., formerly University Medical Center, is looking for a full-time dynamic Family Medicine physician to join their busy, growing practice.
Corewell Health Primary Care Berrien Springs not only serves the local community, but also serves as the health care provider for the staff and students of Andrews University, one of the most diverse college campuses in the United States and a multicultural international community.
Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. The clinic is open Monday - Thursday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, and Friday 8:00am - 12:00pm. There are currently 5 providers at the clinic which consists of 3 physicians and 2 APPs. Call is 1 in 3. Fluency dictation available. Epic EHR.
Average number of patient visits per day is 20 with the usual types of primary care appointments including, acute care, follow-up, physical exams, new patient exams, pediatrics, new problem, pap and pelvic exams, and basic procedures.
This clinic also has the convenience of having lab and x-ray onsite.
Compensation package includes a two-year salary guarantee with the opportunity to bonus based on productivity and a starting bonus!

Essential FunctionsAssesses and monitors the medical needs of patients/significant others.Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and ensures coverage of case load at all times.Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care.Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients.Evaluates patients'/significant others'/staff educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or delegates to appropriate resources.Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards.Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services. Acts as a patient/family advocate.Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities.Actively works with Corewell Health to meet financial and patient satisfaction goals.Corewell Health South, formerly Spectrum Health Lakeland, is a teaching hospital offering residencies in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, and Internal Medicine.
